OTTAWA - Frank Mauro opens the doors to Fogolâr Furlan Ottawa. We are honored to present the activities of Friends of the Canadian capital of Friuli, thanks to a nice chat with some members of the club.
Franco, what are the main activities during the year?
"A January we have the Annual General Meeting & Election of the Board, Refreshments - Carnival (with Club Vicenza) - dinner and dance with live music, prizes for the masks. In February organize the Children's Carnival (all Italian clubs ... twenty) - masks, games, refreshments, prizes. A March evening is to honor our distinguished young men, thanks to scholarships Giovanni Caboto - in addition to CNIC event - our Fogolâr is a member of the National Congress of Italian Canadians. For April prepare the feast of the People to celebrate Friulano April 3, the Fiesta from Friuli - day with Mass, cultural program, exhibition and dinner. A May can not miss the Spring Festival, with dinner and dancing. A June organize the Italian Week - an annual event that unites the Italian community in Ottawa.
